Eyelash Extensions

What are Eyelash Extensions?

The Lash Extensions used at Sherylynn Styles are synthetic Mink, or Silk and are applied individually to the natural lash, with a medical grade adhesive, that is fume, latex and formaldehyde free.

How long do they usually last?

A full set of any desired eyelashes type, will last as long as your natural lash cycle, which can be anywhere from 4-6 weeks. It is really depends on individual. We highly recommend our clients to get a refill / retouch anytime between 2 to 4 weeks, depends on how many extension lashes you have left on your natural and must be 50% lashes. Any lashes less than 50% will be considered a full set of any desired eyelashes type you would want.

How long does it takes to apply them?

Sherylynn can apply a beautiful Full Classic Set and Hybrid Set of lashes in 1 hour and a half to 2 hours, and a Volume Set in about 2 or 2 and a half hours. Depends on how many natural eyelashes you have. Also, for the refill / retouch (more than 50% lashes it would be about 60-90 minutes for a fill as well. We like to remove any grown out lashes, clean them up, and make your lashes look like brand new every time you come in, this will ensure the retention and life of your extensions.

What should I do or expected before my lash appointment?

Please thoroughly wash your eyes with oil-free face wash or eye make-up remover

Please do not wear any eye make-up and if you have no time to remove them, we do offer make-up removal for extra fee with our products. The fees is $10.
Please do not curl lashes as we wanted to see 100% natural lashes to find the appropriate length lash extension to meet your desired eye look.
During your initial consultation, you will be asked to fill in a one-time consent form and I will evaluate your natural lashes to ensure you get the lashes that work best for your natural lashes so that you will never have damage or breakage!

Can I wear Makeup with my lashes?

Of course you can, however we encourage you not wearing any make up that is oil based products or it will shorten the life of your lash extensions.

Will Last extension damage my natural lashes?

Good news, it will not! When applying a good quality eyelash extensions properly, with perfect isolation and weight eyelash extensions will not harm your natural lashes. We encourage you not to rub your eyes, picking on your lashes, otherwise it can cause any damage to your natural eyelashes.

My job as an eyelash artist, all experienced and certified, the most important thing to me is the integrity of your natural lash and your beautiful eyelash extensions.

How do I care for my lash extensions?

Please avoid getting your beautiful lashes wet and heat for the first 24 hours including:

Steam/ Hot Showers/ Hot Tub
Tears
Showering
Swimming
Eye make up
Working out

Please gently brush your beautiful lashes daily using lash wand

Please gently wash/ cleanse lashes daily (Please avoid cotton)

Please Dry on Coll & Low setting

Please seek Sherylynn or any Professional Only to remove your lashes

Please Only use Oil-Free / Water- based Beauty Products

Please Avoid Mascara and Eyelash curler

Please No Rubbing/ Picking / Pulling your lashes

Please sleep on your back or on your sides

To Extend the life of your lashes, please schedule at www.sherylynnstyles.com or text 619-551-5511 for a refill / retouch / touch up every 2-4 weeks.

Are Allergic reactions common?

Attention ladies especially if this is your first time getting eyelash extensions, or the first time in a long while, your eyes may feel somewhat sensitive or burning. However Allergic reactions is not very common, but it happens to some people who didn’t realize they are allergic to our professional adhesive glue. Please check with your doctor before you can make an appointment with me.

Signs of an allergy reaction are usually not during the service but afterwards. You are not supposed to flush water immediately into your eyes because the fume/chemical will get into your eyes and will cause irritation. With 24 hours no wetting or heating your eyes. If it does not improve or gets worse, please contact your health care provider or call 911 if it is necessary.

What are the differences between Classic, Hybrid, and Volume Lashes?

Classic is one individual extension lash onto one natural lash, that makes you look very pretty natural like you had a mascara on.

Hybrid is a combination of 2 different lash styles (one individual and one set of 3-5 fans onto one natural lash, which is very popular and makes you look more beautiful and fun.

Volume set is with 3 fans or more onto one natural lash that makes you look more fuller and thicker, like drop dead gorgeous!

Can I wear Contact lenses with lash extensions?

Oh course, once the lashes have been applied, you can wear contact lenses again. However, please wait 24 hours until then, but if you notice any irritation when wearing the contact lenses, we recommend getting them professionally removed as it might not be the best option for you.
